Would you like to Get Down on the Netflix series? There is a new audition notice for the popular TV series “The Get Down”. Casting directors are looking for African American musicians for filming tomorrow, October 20th. Filming will be in New York City so the team is seeking local musicians. Both union and non union talent are being cast for the show.
The Get Down is set in the 1970s New York City that is broken down, beaten up, violent, cash strapped, dying. Told through the lives and music of a ragtag crew of South Bronx teens – from Bronx tenements, to the SoHo art scene, CBGBs, Studio 54, and even the glass towers of the just-built World Trade Center. The Get Down is a sweeping saga of loyalty, love and betrayal, and the transformation of New York City.
