The University of Florida is filming a new commercial and casting directors are looking for actors to appear in it! The commercial is filming in Gainesville, Florida. The University of Florida students utilize more than 200 research, service and education centers, bureaus and institutes. With some of the most future-focused facilities led by some of the best minds in their fields. UF is consistently ranked among the nation’s top universities. They ranked second among Forbes “Best Value Public Colleges” (2016) and second in Kiplinger’s “Best Values in Public Colleges” (2015).
The commercial is looking for men who are between the ages of 27 to 32 to play the role of a father that takes online courses. They are also looking to fill the role of a kid who is ages 6-7 to play the son in the upcoming commercial.
The auditions will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 6:30 p.m. in Weimer Hall, 1885 Stadium Road, at the University of Florida. Lines for you to read will be provided at the auditions and the auditions will be recorded. All of the roles are paid. The pay will be a flat rate for the one day shoot. A parent or a guardian must accompany the child actors to the audition. There is metered parking available at O’Connell Center. Those who would like to attend the auditions should contact Kathy Chambers at kchambers@ jou.ufl.edu to get on casting list. The shoot will be taking place on August 12th. Anyone who applies or auditions must be available all day beginning at 7:00am.
