AMC’s “Halt and Catch Fire” Pool Party Scene

AMC’s series, “Halt and Catch Fire” is now filming and casting directors are looking for extras and featured talent to take part in the filming of the show in Atlanta, Georgia. The AMC television series, “Halt and Catch Fire” takes place in 1985. According to AMC.com, the show follows Joe MacMillian who a year prior set fire to a truck full of Cardiff Giant PSs which was the last in a long string of destructive acts that burned the people that made the machine possible. AMC further describes the show as “The Giant is about to go the way of the dinosaur, like any number of personal computers to enter the market in the wake of IBM. The lesson is harsh but clear: in history, only the truly disruptive ideas are destined to matter.

Casting directors are looking for men to play valets and guys and girls that are in good shape that would be comfortable swimming in a heated pool in their underwear. This would be 1986 underwear to fit in with the show’s time period that you will be fitted in by the wardrobe team. This role does pay a featured rate and wet bump for those that swim. It may be a little chilly Thursday night but the pool will be heated. For the valet role, the casting team needs some people who are experienced and must have experience driving a manual as people will be driving older sports cars.
